A Lucy è stato chiesto in passato di fare degli spot su bevande alcoliche, che lei ha rifiutato di fare per questi motivi:
"Even though I quite like alcohol, I don’t feel it’s appropriate for me to use my celebrity, considering my profile is linked to the national children’s hospital and the anti-abuse unit.”

Lucy è una madre e come tale vuole che i suoi figli godano di ottima salute, e vuole che tutti i bambini goadano di ottima salute.
Già alla loro età Lucy sta insegnando ai suoi figli di reciclare le cose che usano, spegnere i caloriferi o le cose elettriche quando non le usano e tante altre semplici cose che salvaguardano la loro salute e quella del pianeta. Nello stesso tempo però non li coinvolge nel dibattito dei cambiamenti climatici, cosa troppo seria per un bambino da capire e da accettare, vuole piuttosto che i suoi figli vivano un'infanzia serena e tranquilla:
