Per me Glaber l'ha ripudiata. L'ha lasciata li a Capua, e non la vuole più a Roma con lui

cmq e bello sto telefilm..appassiona.inialmente sembrava solo Sangue e Arena altro gioco di parole MUAHHAHAHAH XD

E mi pare di aver visto un'espressione nel volto di Batiatus poco rassicurante.

si sembrava sollevata..ebbene dopo quelloc he gli ha detto Spartacus..x lui era la cosa migliore prima della morte hehe..cmq la cosa bella che ogni personaggio ha una propria psicologia complessa..

puntata meravigliosa!
questa serie mi piace sempre di piu' ed e' un vero peccato che ormai la prima stagione se ne sia quasi andata. ci stavo davvero prendendo gusto.

grande puntata corale in cui c'e' spazio veramente per tutti (e per il meglio di tutti, tra l'altro) a dimostrazione che giocare con tanti personaggi e' difficile ma non impossibile. la mia preferenza personale per quest'episodio pero' va a ilithia e lucretia che in 50 minuti sono riuscite a mostrare lati diversissimi del loro carattere: debolezza e cattiveria, passione e tenerezza.
applausi. veramente un ottimo lavoro!

Concordo, grandi le interpretazioni di Lucy, Andy, John Hannah, Leslie Ann Brandt, Katrina Law, Manu Bennet , e l'intero cast, e grandioso lavoro da parte di Michael Hurst che ha girato l'episodio.
Da una parte non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa succederà nel prossimo episodio, dall'altra dispiace anche a me che sia arrivata alla fine e che dopo quello dovremmo aspettare la guarigione di Andy per vedere la seconda stagione.

noooo aspettatemi !!! devo ancora vedere la 1x11 e la 1x12.......

Spartacus' vengance is put on hold while Glaber returns to the Ludus.

US, April 12, 2010 - The opening scene concluded Solonius' story in grand fashion with Spartacus given the task to finish him off in the arena. I really appreciated the fact that Solonius actually put up a fight despite it being a futile gesture. Spartacus' final words to Solonius were fitting and brought a smile to the dying man's face before he was beheaded.

The gauntlet scene with Spartacus facing off against several of Galbor's men was a lot of fun. We get to see that Spartacus is a changed man. Sure, he's still angry and seeking vengeance for the capture and eventual murder of Sura, but now he's disciplined. What makes this moment so ironic is that the same men he plans to eventually kill are also the ones who forced him into a position to gain the skills he needs to carry out that very task. There's a certain poetry to the situation and to this scene that resonates well. With every guard that Spartacus takes out you know he's thinking about beheading both Glaber and Batiatus.

Since Spartacus chooses to delay the vengeance he seeks in order to convince Varro's wife to leave the Ludus first he's forced to play nice with the two men he despises – Glaber and Batiatus. With Spartacus, the rabid dog, kept on a leash this week, the writer's do a great job of building the animosity and the tension between him and the two men he intends on killing. Spartacus can taste his revenge but as he's forced to wait we are forced to wait with him and can sympathize with his frustration. We've been waiting for this moment just as much as Spartacus has.

With Spartacus forced to wait the story shifts to Crixus' love triangle, which comes to an end this week. Even though we all knew that Ashur would let it slip that Crixus and Naevia have been sleeping together, the way he went about it was truly brilliant. Batiatus lifting Ashur above the ranks of a common slave has awarded the former "gladiator" with an opportunity to be even more devious than in the past. He first requests an opportunity to sleep with Naevia and then uses that to unhinge Crixus and destroy their relationship. Ashur's revenge is sealed in grand fashion as Crixus dishonors his master with disobedience.
The fallout is a satisfying conclusion to this season long story arc. Lucretia's understandably pissed and beats up her former personal handmaiden while Crixus gets several lashings. This sets up Crixus' turn against his masters quite well and also aligns his priorities with Spartacus – freedom.

What was most satisfying however was Naevia's reveal to Doctore regarding Barca's death. Doctore is a great character but his allegiance to his master has been clear thus far. With the truth about Barca's death now revealed to him it will be interesting to see how he reacts. The change of expression on Doctore's face certainly spoke volumes about he felt.

The rest of the gladiators are equally disturbed by the events of the night and with Glaber as their new Patron they appear to be uneasy about the Ludus' future. This will undoubtedly allow Spartacus to plant the seed of escape in the thoughts of the slaves.

Throughout "Revelations" it was obvious that Glaber had no interest in support Batiatus' rise into public office. Glaber isn't a simple magistrate and wouldn't be as susceptible to Batiatus' usual machinations. I was quite pleased with how this story played. Ilithyia's indiscretion from a few weeks earlier comes back to haunt her and forces Glaber to support Batiatus. It's an unhealthy alliance that is sure to crumble once Spartacus makes his move.

The penultimate episode of the first season of Starz’ Spartacus: Blood and Sand rebounded from the Good Friday episode with a series high 1.285 million average viewers, edging out the 1.265 million viewers for the March 26 episode.

The 725,000 adults 18-49 was not a series high, but second-best to the 760,000 for the March 26 episode. I calculate the rating right around a .55 so I have rounded it up to .6 to be consistent with the other data in the season one results in the table below.

A few people have asked me if I’m really a fan of the show or whether I am just in it for the ratings. It took a while for me to get invested with the show. I had to slog through five or six episodes before I started to enjoy it, but since then it has been a guilty pleasure.

No, it’s definitely not HBO’s Rome. It’s far more like CBS’s Dallas from the 1980s, set in Rome circa 100 BC! Batiatus and Lucretia instead of J.R. and Sue Ellen. Perhaps Spartacus isn’t all that much like Bobby Ewing, and OK, lots more violence and, sure, Dallas didn’t have any nudity. Nonetheless, it’s more like Dallas than Rome! Don’t be too surprised to see a “Who Stabbed Batiatus?” episode someday.

We’re down to the season one finale this Friday. Sadly, season two has met with production delays while star Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) undergoes treatment for Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. While the prognosis is good, we’re not yet sure what it means for the season two premiere, though I’ll definitely post news of season two as soon as I hear anything.
