Lucy Lawless Feel The Love Day, 21 Settembre 2010

Dal 2006 ogni anno il 21 Settembre i fan di Lucy hanno creato il Lucy Feel The Love Day, una tradizione che credo continuerà per molto.
Il Feel the Love day consiste nel dare una mano ad un'associazione benefica a scelta, sia vicino a casa tua, sia un'organizzazione cara a Lucy.
Persino Lucy quest'anno in uno dei suoi messaggi ha detto che si impegnerà per il Feel the Love Day, e lo sta facendo con Starship, Greenpeace e Paw Justice.

Ragazzi voi avete capito di cosa si tratta esattamente?
Qui non si tratta solo di Lucy. Qui i fans da oggi fino al 17 Settembre si impegnano per aiutare qualcuno: un'associazione a vostra scelta(Vicino casa vostra, o un'associazione cara a Lucy che ho messo nel topic sopra), qualcuno che ha bisogno, volontariato,salvaguardare l'ambiente, aiutare un'associazione animalista o anche dare 1 euro ad un barbone per strada.
Quest'anno Lucy ha deciso di partecipare al Feel the Love Day insieme ai fans facendo qualcosa di veramente concreto,dando anche lei come sempre il buon esempio, però anche noi dobbiamo fare qualcosa.

Ovviamente non vi sto obbligano a partecipare, se lo volete fare o no, questa è una vostra scelta.
Vi ho voluto spiegare meglio di cosa si tratta in caso abbiate avuto malcomprensioni a riguardo.

io lo faccio in continuazione. mi riferisco a cose di beneficenza, naturlamente. per la mail la manderò e parteciperò all'iniziativa comuqneu hai fatto bene a ribadirlo. queste cose sono importanti e per chi è un pò più fortunato è dovere aiutare chi ha bisogno.

anch'io quando posso aiuto facendo qualcosa di beneficenza... quand'ero a Parigi ogni giorno lasciavo un po' di soldi allo stesso barbone come se l'avessi adottato..

Sharon ha messo le istruzioni per partecipare al Feel the Love Day, che è il 21 Settembre(non il 17 come avevo scritto).
Chiunque può partecipare e di qualcunque età, basta che fato qualsiasi atto di generosità verso le persone a voi vicine: un amico, un parente, un conoscente, o uno sconosciuto per strada. Oppure potete fare del volontariato a qualche associazione vicina, o fare donazioni all'associazione che preferite.
Sharon farà mettere una nuova pagina a Starship per le donazioni.
Potete anche fare una foto o un video di quello che avete fatto e mandarlo a Sharon.

"In honor of Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day, I will (insert your intended contribution), then put your name and location (city, state, country) as you want it to appear on the pledge list."

Gads, is September flying by! It's time for the fourth annual "Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day" charity drive. September 21st kicks off a week of charitable acts and contributions by Lucy fans all over the world. Taking our love for all things Lucy and sharing it with those around us who are in need.

You can choose what you'd like to do, whether it is donating money or supplies to a charity, volunteering your time or services to a charitable organization, reading to a child, or helping out a neighbor, co-worker, or friend. Any act of charity or kindness counts!

Anyone, anywhere can participate, regardless of how old (or young) you are, or where you live. All you have to do is decide what charitable or kind act you would like to do during "Feel the Love" week, and e-mail it with your name and location as you would like it to appear on the pledge list. On Sept. 30, Lucy will be presented with the pledge list of all the charitable acts being done in her honor that week. To make sure your pledge gets recorded correctly please use the following format in your e-mail:

"In honor of Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day, I will (insert your intended contribution) , then put your name and location (city, state, country) as you want it to appear on the pledge list."

Please separate this information with space lines before and after in your e-mail.

Unfortunately, personal messages, street and e-mail addresses, phone numbers, detailed descriptions of your chosen charity and links cannot be included on the pledge list.

I will be contacting Starship Children's Hospital to add a link on their website that allows you to make your donation in honor of "Feel the Love Day."

The deadline for submitting pledges is September 30.

As we did last year, if you choose to volunteer and donate your time doing something that can be photographed for "Feel the Love Day," bring a camera along and get a picture of yourself in action. If youâ€re making a donation, perhaps you can take a photo of you and the charityâ€s home page on your computer? Or come up with another way to visualize the action. The photos can be sent in at any time you do the volunteer work. Thereâ€s no deadline for sending in the pictures.

Lucyâ€s so proud that her fans came up with this idea. Itâ€s something sheâ€s talked about in many interviews. And itâ€s what got her started with the Sign On Campaign this year. I know she enjoys reading the pledge list. Canâ€t wait to pass it along to her again this year.

Good Feel The Love Week!!

Si chiama Women for Women international. E' un'associazione dove con una piccola donazione si può sponsorizzare a distanza una donna nei paesi più poveri. Donne che magari devono mantenere i propri figli, curare delle malattie, trovare un lavoro che le faccia stare meglio, ecc..

Anche se il Feel the love day è passato, questa è una bella associazione che si può aiutare(alla fine non importa il tempo, ne quando si fa giusto? )
